ITEC Employment is here to help you obtain a satisfying sustainable job! Our services are designed to provide a comprehensive approach for job seekers. Both traditional and internet based search facilities are available in our office and our Employment Coordinators will work with you on a personal Employment Pathway Plan that supports your needs.

Training Opportunities

If you are not ready for work just yet, we can assist with life-skills training to get you ready for the workplace; be it in construction or mining industries to skills in retail and hospitality that can be used in a range of employment opportunities. We work with a range of training providers where you can obtain accredited certificates in a range of fields from horticulture to construction, indigenous arts to business administration.

Career Counselling

Identifying your personal values (desires and requirements of a job) is an important part of a successful career plan. Here, the word, “value” refers to how you feel about the work itself and the contribution it makes to society. Most people who pursue work that matches with their values feel satisfied and successful in their careers.

Work values can be divided into two categories. Intrinsic values relate to an interest in the work tasks themselves, or to the benefits that the work contributes to society. Extrinsic values relate to the favourable conditions that accompany the work, such as physical setting, earning potential, and other external features. Most people, in order to feel truly satisfied with their work, must find some personal intrinsic value in it.

Job Application and interview Preparation

Our staff will assist in developing a resume and application letter to providing helpful interview techniques, provide guidance and possible financial support in your presentation and work with you in gaining the confidence in yourself in your job search.

Placement Consultants

In each ITEC office we have dedicated Employment Coordinators (EC) who have a list of vacancies to suit you which are available in your area and across the country. Your EC will work with you to connect you with the opportunity.
