Remote Employment Coordinators
Role Purpose
Liaises with and visits remote communities. Actively works with clients to commence, undertake JSCI, conduct assessments, formulate individualised plans, undertake reviews and contacts with a job focus, negotiate EPPs and help clients gain meaningful jobs. ECs also support clients with high needs including people with multiple disadvantage and remote clients. ECs will also be required to provide clients with work preparation and job seeking skills.

Alice Springs, Far North Queensland , Top End (Darwin)
Key Skills & attitudes required
- A sound understanding of case management and advocacy principles and the capacity to progress clients through to the desired outcome by addressing a wide range of barriers
- Capacity to effectively communicate with people of indigenous/remote communities, people with disability and/or people with multiple Non vocational barriers to employment
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy using Windows based software, Internet, Email
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the barriers facing indigenous communities, the ability to negotiate tailored activities to overcome employment barriers, skills in providing pre and post placement support and the ability to empathize with and motivate jobseekers
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations utilizing 4X4 vehicles, light aircraft and other non mainstream forms of transport
